Why Is Dr. Warren M. Krutchick’s Sedation Dentistry Different?
No comments · Posted by Admin in Sedation Dentistry
Many general dentists claim to be sedation dentists.
There are several different levels of sedation available for dental patients.
The lightest form of sedation is nitrous oxide or laughing gas and is sometimes combined with valium. This mild form of sedation does not require any special certification and is used by many general dentists.
If you’re very anxious about seeking dental treatment, you may opt for deeper forms of sedation that place the patient into a twilight sleep state, in which they are very comfortable, have very little memory of the procedure and are more comfortable post-op than patients who have not been sedated.
In order to provide these deeper levels of sedation a dentist must pursue advanced training along with an examination process leading to a New York State certification for sedation. In addition, there are yearly requirements to maintain this certificate. Currently there are only a handful of dentists in Western New York who are certified for deeper sedation. Dr. Warren M. Krutchick earned this certificate over ten years ago at NYU and he welcomes any questions you might have.
Please give Dr. Warren M. Krutchick a call at (716) 675-9225 and inquire about our sedation dentistry.
